The Leadership in the Connection Economy programme is presented by the Leadership Academy for Agriculture, formerly known as the Grain Academy. This programme equips young leaders in agriculture to lead, think and behave differently to make a profound difference in their enterprises, communities as well as organised agriculture in South Africa. About the Leadership Academy for Agriculture
The Leadership Academy for Agriculture gives young farmers active, innovative and practical exposure that will enable them to be leaders in South African agriculture both at farm and national level.
Do I need to have a bachelor’s degree to attend?
No, Standard 10 is sufficient.
Do I need to be computer literate?
Basic literacy is sufficient e.g. sending and receiving emails, but more is a very positive contributor to project success.
Need I be proficient in English?
You need to understand English (hear and read) (if you battle at any time you will be assisted in Afrikaans). You will have to speak in English during the programme to improve your English proficiency.
What is the core focus of the programme?
Self-leadership, leading of others, relationship management, leadership skills such as communication, strategy, change and transformation. The programme has a pure leadership focus.
Need I attend all 10 the days?
Yes, it is preferable. But should personal circumstances prevent you of doing so then 8 attendance days are required to still receive a certificate of successful completion.
